Nice organic tee

I got the Vege-Dye T-Shirt, and it's pretty comfy. The color is subtle, not super bright, which I actually like. It arrived two days earlier than the tracking said, which was a nice surprise. Just a good, basic tee.

Solid value on sustainable basics

I was looking for some ethical activewear and found Groceries Apparel. I picked up the Sustainable Sweatpants during their Earth Day sale, which gave a decent discount. The initial price felt a bit high, but with the sale, it was much more manageable. The sweatpants themselves are soft and well-made, definitely worth what I paid after the savings. Shipping was free because my order was over $75, so that helped keep the overall cost down. I'm happy with the purchase and felt like I got good value for a quality, sustainable product.

Good quality, quick delivery

I ordered the Organic Cotton Leggings and a Recycled Cotton Tank Top. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, no issues there. Shipping was faster than expected, arriving in about five days. Both items feel really soft and the quality seems durable; I've washed them twice now and they've held their shape and color well. I had a question about sizing before ordering, and their customer support responded to my email within a day with helpful guidance. Definitely a solid purchase and I appreciate the sustainable aspect.

How do you wash the vegetable dyed clothes? Any special instructions so they don't fade super fast?

I Ivy 2 months ago
Cold water, delicate cycle, and hang dry. That's what I do for all my vege-dyed shirts and they've held up well.

Definitely wash cold and air dry! The colors stay vibrant for a long time if you avoid hot water and the dryer.

What's the deal with returns? Is it a hassle if something doesn't fit or I just don't like it?

L Lisa 2 months ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me. Just followed the instructions on their site.

I sent back a t-shirt that was the wrong size, no drama at all. Got my refund within a week or so.

Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to say, New York City? Need some basics kinda soonish.

E Elena 2 months ago
I'm in Philly and got my order in about a week. So NYC should be similar.

Mine took like 5-7 business days to the east coast, wasn't super fast but not terrible either.

Are their clothes really non-toxic? Like, actually safe for sensitive skin or is it just marketing hype?

R Raj Okafor 2 months ago
I have super sensitive skin and the vege-dyed stuff hasn't given me any issues at all. It's legit.

Yeah, they use plant-based dyes so it's not like regular chemical dyes. My kids wear their stuff too and no problems.

Thinking about getting some stuff from Groceries Apparel but also looking at Mate the Label. Any thoughts on how they compare in terms of quality or fit?

R Renee S. 2 months ago
I've tried both! Groceries Apparel feels a bit softer on their cotton items, I think. Mate is good too but Groceries Apparel seems to have more unique dye colors.

Mate the Label is a bit pricier usually, and Groceries Apparel's plant dyes are a unique selling point. Quality-wise, both are solid, can't really go wrong.
